SCITON® ERBIUM ABLATIVE LASER

SCITON® ABLATIVE SKIN RESURFACING LASER IN NEWCASTLE

TARGET SPECIFIC AREAS IN THE SKIN WITH ERBIUM LASER TO GENERATE HEALTHY SKIN RENEWAL

Do you have age spots, sun spots, birthmarks, scars or unwanted skin lesions on your skin that you would like removed?

The Sciton™ Erbium laser is a fast and very effective way to remove unwanted lumps, bumps discolouring that may be present on the skin's surface. The Erbium Spot treatment is able to focus the laser's energy on precise areas of the skin to ablate unwanted lumps, bumps, lesions and more. The laser acts on the water component in the skin to heat and vaporise the skin's tissue. This stimulates the production of collagen and encourages the healing process within the tissue to regenerate new and fresh layers of skin effectively removing the blemishes or lumps and bumps on the skin.

The Sciton™ Erbium Laser is extremely precise and is able to spot treat both large areas of skin or tiny areas as small as only 2mm in diameter. The peeling effect from the laser can be tuned as fine as 10 microns deep (also known as a Nanopeel - extremely thin), or more than 200 microns over heavily-lined areas of the face, like the upper lip where deeper creases or lip lines are common.

ADVANCED PICOSURE® LASER FAQS

WHAT DISTINGUISHERS COCO AS A LEADER IN NEWCASTLE FOR PICO TREATMENTS?
Coco offers honest advice to clients on which treatments are suitable for their skin. As every skin type is different, some treatments including Pico treatments are suitable for some and not for others.

Our team of Registered Nurses will make a comprehensive assessment of your skin before recommending treatments to you and won't prescribe a treatment that won't work for you.

All Advanced Pico Laser treatments are conducted by university qualified Registered Nurses who have undergone extensive training with Coco's specialist Dermatologists as well as intensive training with the laser's manufacturer to operate the PicoSure® laser.
Coco's team of RN's have a combined total of over 20 years operating Picosecond laser technology and are able to safely tune the laser according to your skin's unique requirements to get the most out of every treatment.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED?

Best results are achieved with multiple treatments. To achieve optimal results it is recommended that clients re-treat every 4 weeks initially and then once desirable results are achieved the interval between treatments can be longer. The number of treatments required varies depending upon each individual's goals for treatment.

HOW MUCH DOES AN ADVANCED PICO LASER TREATMENT COST?

Treatment costs vary depending on the size of the area being treated. To give you an idea, treatments start at $200 for a minimum area with a full face treatment costing $500. Coco offers treatment series that offer excellent value for money when you purchase multiple treatments up front.

ARE PICO LASER TREATMENTS PAINFUL?

Topical numbing cream may be applied to the area of treatment prior to treatment to ensure a comfortable treatment. Most clients find the treatment easy to tolerate with a topical anaesthetic applied.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT IMMEDIATELY POST PICO LASER TREATMENT?

Temporary redness, swelling, heat within the skin and itching can occur immediately after treatment. Any symptoms usually subside within one hour post treatment.

PICOSURE® vs. PICOWAY TECHNOLOGY

PicoSure is the only picosecond laser with a nominal 755nm wavelength, which has been proven as the safest and most effective wavelength for skin revitalisation. Other lasers such as Picoway and Enlighten require three different wavelengths to achieve a desired effect and utilise Nd:YAG technology. These types of wavelengths can often cause pinpoint bleeding, which occurs from broken blood vessels bleeding into the skin forming tiny red dots. This bleeding can last up to 48 hours after treatment and scabbing can usually be expected, resulting in greater downtime, higher risk factors, longer recovery times and further treatments needed before you begin to see results.

WHY ARE PICOSURE® TREATMENTS SAFER & MORE EFFECTIVE THAN ANY OTHER PICOSECOND TREATMENTS OUT THERE?

The amount of peer reviewed publications, numerous clinical trials, and over 80 publications and podium presentations that the Picosure® technology has received far outweighs the published studies and clinical articles for any other picosecond technology on the market, reinforcing PicoSure as the safest and most tested pico technology.

The PressureWave™ Technology ensures that less heat is delivered to the skin's tissue resulting in reduced risk of burns and treatment complications.
PicoSure is the first and the only picosecond aesthetic laser with both FDA clearance and TGA listing, ensuring the treatments safety and effectiveness is registered globally.
