Cosmetic Tattooing is a semi- permanent procedure which is used to enhance facial features. In preparation for enhancing the lips and eyebrows, your cosmetic tattooist draws a sketch on the area to ensure suitable and desired colour and shape. The procedure takes about 2 hours depending on size and depth of colour of the treated area. Immediately after the procedure, the skin is usually slightly swollen, and the result is darker than the final result. It takes up to one week for the colour to settle and during that time it will lighten. The desired result is usually achieved by 2 to 3 applications (included in cost). The follow up applications should be applied 4 weeks after the initial application.

SOMETHING YOU MAY NOT KNOW?
The predecessor to the present day tattoo machine was the electric pen developed by Thomas Edison in 1876. In 1891 Samuel O’Reilly discovered that adding a tube and needle to the system would allow ink to be permanently or semi-permanently injected in to the skin. This machine’s core design principles are still used in practice today.
